Lust is basically wanting a sexual relationship only. There is nothing wrong with occasionally lusting after someone, but love is the most essential component for any true relationship. If one is simply lusting after a partner, the future will never even come up. Typically, when a relationship is built off of lust, the people involved live by a day to day basis. There is little to no planning involved and encounters are usually just a text away. Unlike lust, the future is majorly considered for a couple in love. When in love couples usually go on many dates that are thoroughly planned out and they consider each other before making plans. Another difference between love and lust is the feelings that are involved. When in lust the topic of most conversations will be sex or topics relating to sex, but no real feelings will be disclosed.
