Do you want any of your family members to die from getting hit by a drunk driving, or from drunk driving? No one wants that to happen, but did you know that every 12 minutes a person dies from drinking and driving? Most of those people are between the ages of 16 to 20 years old. This is why the United States should not lower the drinking age to 18 because it can also increase death polls, and it affects teenagers too. It is a harmful decision to lower the drinking age to 18. They should keep the drinking age at 21. Teenagers are not responsible enough, or not mature enough to handle alcohol. If they lower the drinking age, it will affect teenagers education because some students may show up to school intoxicated. The students will also begin to act out because of the fact that they will have alcohol in their systems, and that could cause behavior issues. It will also make it easier for ages younger than 18 to obtain alcohol because they are not responsible enough to say no. I also stated injury because some people have car accidents whether they are the ones driving or not. The driver could have ended up drinking too and ran into something or someone.
