If I was hired as a consultant for Target, I would be sure to use the four functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling in those order to overcome the problem of showrooming (Bethel University, 2014). Planning is fundamental to set goal, and decide how to achieve those goals (Kinicki & Williams, 2013). Organizing, in the business world is “arranging tasks, people and resource to accomplish the work that needs to be done” (Bethel University, 2014, Slide 12). Get different people from different departments to work together. Bring everyone together to accomplish the set goals and working as one.

Things that helped me through my career are what created my leadership philosophy. There is an “M” in team; Build professionals by being a professional, everyone needs humility to succeed; Just relax. There is an “M” in team, because the team starts with the “Me”, the individual. Everyone on a team has a duty to prepare themselves mentally and physically. If all members of a team take ownership of their personal preparedness, a team’s success is certain.

The novel is designed to benefit business managers by telling them how to properly run their business. The book is compiled of research from around 80,000 managers, which is beneficial when thinking of an assumption about how to manage a business. In order to manage a successful business, you must precisely follow the basic guidelines that the book went into great detail about.
My second MBA I focused in management and leadership area. My final project was centered in assessing how the leadership process can improve quality in organizations. I proposed a model to assess and apply leadership principles and to development and create a culture of self-improvement and cooperative teamwork in the Department of Human Services. The final project is titled “The Leadership in the DHS Process”, and was graded with “A”. My education and experience providing technical assistance, consultation, and training started when I obtained my Master Degree in Public Administration in 1985.
Society has, and always will be, a never ending cycle of change. Society always has a way of pressuring people into things and of controlling lives. Religion has been a big part in almost every society to ever exist. It also finds ways to make people second guess themselves and can throw common logic out the window at times.
