The performing arts presentation I decide to go to was Macbeth. William Shakespeare originally did Macbeth in the 1500. The play is about about how a young man tries to gain power and tries to kill the king. After that is done Macbeth, who is the main character gets paranoid. Macbeth by AACC was a interesting production.

The Macbeth that Anne Arundel Community College was an interesting production. The exposition starts when meeting the characters, which are Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth to kill the King Duncan. The complication starts when Macbeth kills King Duncan and Macbeth starts to get paranoid and thinks people are trying to kill him. Denouement begins when Lady Macbeth kills herself and Macduff kills Macbeth. …show more content…

The costumes were not what I was expecting. I though the costumes would be relative to the period of Shakespeare. The costumes were in my opinion horrible. The female actors were wearing pants, long shirts, and heels. They male actors were I guess wearing the correct time period dress. Overall, I was expecting more with the costume department. The light was very helpful because since it was dark in the Theatre. The lighting made it easier to follow the characters around on the stage. Some other effects that were used in the play were a fog machine. The scene design also, plays a role in Macbeth by creating an environment. In Macbeth the scene design which I thought would be a big production was not actually. The scene designs stayed the same during the acts. It did not change and which I thought it would when the Acts would change. On two adjacent walls of the the stage, there were two doors but you could tell that the paint was not even because you could see the brush strokes.
