The following are two retail websites I have chosen. 1. Macy’s (www.macys.com) 2. Target (www.target.com) Description for the above two stores are follows: 1. Macy’s Macy’s is a one of the largest store in USA with almost 870 stores in 45 states. It is one of the nation’s premier Omni channel retailers. The following are the main products sell by these stores. Clothing for men, women and kids, watches, handbags, shoes, jewelry, dining items and more. 2. Target It is one of largest discount retailer in USA. This store offer products in lowest price than others and having very huge discounts on products. The main products selling here are cloths for all, shoes, accessories, home appliances, furniture items, electronic devices, video games, toys and more. Principles: …show more content…
Both of them are having their identity in the market. Visibility: In target’s website, whatever the items presented all of them are available in the physical store also. This definitely allows the customer to search the products in website if they want those products then they can directly walk in to store and purchase products. Where Macy’s is not confirming that option on products. It is not mentioning that information anywhere in the web site. Navigation: In Macy’s website, navigation from one item to another is much user friendly, and fonts used in the site are also good, but items displaying is not user friendly. Thumbnails view in website is not up to the mark. And website is loading a little bit slower. In target’s navigation between tabs is not user friendly. Tabs mechanism not looking good for easy using. But the product view is good. Fonts are not looking good here. Overall Target website is looking good with its resolution of site and products view. Strengths: Macy’s website:Fonts all are good and navigation is simpler here. Target Website: Product view is good and looks more professional than macy’s
