Making vehicles legal in the United States
Vehicles becoming street legal is a thing that a lot of car people seem to talk a lot about vehicles being able to be allowed into the United States. A lot of people believe that any and every vehicle should be allowed into the United States but some people think differently. Some people believe that not every car should be allowed into the States because they believe for safety or any other reason they may have. I know that there are people that want to make sure that vehicles that are illegal stay illegal because they want safety. Drag cars are not legal for public roads, but it’s a lot of fun to watch. European cars are illegal due to safety and emissions concerns regardless of horsepower. Those drag racing vehicles are made in the states but they can still be considered very dangerous and hazardous even though they are taken to tracks they still are allowed to be driven on the streets under certain circumstances but there are still other vehicles that are really not as dangerous that are banned from the United States. Drag racing vehicles are made in the United States from severely modified cars by trained mechanics using aftermarket parts. The cars are transported to the track by a trailer. Sometimes, drag race cars are tested on public streets, usually on straight roads between ⅛ and ¼ mile at night. This is highly illegal and very dangerous, and the owner/driver of the drag car take huge risks. The driver could face high fines, jail time, and possibly losing their drag car. There are ways to get those vehicles into the country but you are not allowed to drive them and if you are caught driving them you will be fined. There are so many vehicles that are not allowed into the United States because they did not meet the emissions standards or they do not meet some type of requirements in order to be allowed into the country. Street racing can be dangerous and there are many risks to racing because racing and having vehicles that are illegal can cause many deaths or injuries. Drunk driving causes more deaths or serious injuries than street racing because drunk drivers, unlike street racers, do not know what they are doing when they get behind the wheel. Bringing cars into this country causes a lot of controversy between people who want the environment to be clean by emissions on vehicles and people who want to bring those cars over and own them. Drunk driving should have more consequences than bringing a vehicle over to this country illegally because there are vehicles that are not illegal that are blowing black smoke out into the air but the vehicles that are illegal do not do that they just go really fast.
