Malala Yousafzai was only fifteen years old when she was shot by the Taliban. Malala was shot because she fought for girls who could not attend schools because of the Taliban. Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan. Malala was and still is an advocate for girls’ educations. Malala was nominated for many awards, including the International Children’s Peace prize, in which she actually won in 2011. The Taliban issued a death threat against Malala and someone shot her in the head, but she survived.
Malala Yousafzai’s economic situation is that the government does not want girls to go to school, so Malala fought for the girls’ right to attend school. Malala, winner of many awards including the International Children’s Peace Prize in 2011, has had disputes with the Taliban issuing her death warning on her, someone did shoot her however, and she survived, and she is still an advocate for girls’ education. …show more content…

Many valleys’ in Pakistan have been tracked down and were forced to make young girls quit school. Malala knew how these girls felt losing their education, her own home town was making all girls quit attending school. Yousafzai worked hard to help girls gain their rights to attend school again. She even supported protesting, she also had a secret diary that no one read but her. One of her most important accomplishments would be her anonymous blog, in which no one could track her and no one would know that the person writing was Malala
