Being privileged enough to attend Mater Dei Catholic High School has truly been an honor, to say the least. The school slogan, “Enter to learn, go forth to serve,” holds absolutely true in so many ways. Being a student at Mater Dei High School has taught me so many great tactics and techniques for being the best student I can possibly be. Besides student life, Mater Dei High School has taught me to be a better person both socially and spiritually. Mater Dei offers a variety of high-level honors, dual credit, and AP courses. As a junior, I am currently enrolled in an honors English 11 class, a dual credit Pre Calculus/ Trigonometry class, and a dual credit U.S. History Class. These courses, because of their challenging nature, have pushed me harder to find new studying techniques. As a member of the Service Club, Pep Club, Prom Committee, Choir, and the Theatre Department, I truly have a very large work load. Because of this, I am challenged to manage my time wisely and prioritize things according to what must absolutely be done. Time management is something I have always struggled with, but I solemnly feel that Mater Dei has helped me improve in this area. Being a part of so many things has also helped to develop me socially. Through these clubs and activities, so many lasting relationships have been made.
