People in our world are going to deal with some sort of illnesses, with an average of visiting the doctor four times a year, we will end up in the hospital at some point in our lives. (Patient Care) When that tome does come around we all want to have the best care possible. Also most of all we want to feel at home, and trust in the people that are providing care. The health care field in general is a very unique and eye opening for many reasons, especially when it comes to the Mayo Clinic organization. Mayo Clinic is a very unique for a countless number of things, yet some reasons include its background, the illnesses it has to deal with, and how Mayo Clinic is looking into the future for its patients.

The first plan of action for these men was to establish the primary values. These men kept it short and simple, yet very important, “The needs of the patient come first”. Along with the primary values, they wanted to set a values statement in place as well. This value statement still guides Mayo Clinic’s mission to this day, and it was all bases off the vision and intent of the founders. The acronym for the value statement is “RICH TIES”. Respect is the first word, and they want to treat everyone in the community with dignity, from patients, families, and colleagues. Integrity was set into the spot so that they trust the patients at the highest standard of professionalism. Another thing that Mayo Clinic values is there compassion for their patients, and treating them like they are family. The well-being, and respecting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs is why healing is the next word in Mayo Clinic’s value statement. Having over 50,000 workers, and blending the kills of every individual, is why teamwork is a major key to their success. Innovation with the emerging technology to enhance the lives of the people that Mayo Clinic tends to is huge. Every day, Excellence is what they want to accomplish as an organization especially by using the highest quality equipment and service.
