My book that I chose for my healthcare book report was on Diseases and People: Measles and Rubella. This book is non-fiction because this book is not a made up story instead it informs you about this highly contagious disease caused by a morbillivirus also known as Rubeola. This book is basically about a disease called Measles. It talks about the types of rashes you can get from this disease. It also talks about what is it and its history. Diagnosing and treating Measeles. All the treatments for the disease and how to prevent it.

The symptons are cold or flulike symptoms beginning about ten days after exposure; fever, runny nose, cough, red eyes, and tiredness. Then rashes may appear, ear infections, and maybe even pneumonia.

Treatments for this disease may vary. Treaments require bed rest, lots of fluids, acetaminophen for headache and fever, and dim lighting if the eyes are sensitive to lights. Just like there is treatments there are also preventions. Ways to prevent this disease are by two injections of a weakened live-virus vaccine, usually given at twelve to fifteen months of age and before entering school, provide immunity against measles in most people.

My opinion about this book was great! It was really a great book because it informed me so much about this disease that I didn't even know of. Now I can talk to my parents about it. This book had all this valueable information on this disease that I loved it that much. Also it was a great educational book that if I ever were a teacher I would give these to my
