In my network I began with department stores as the central node, the department store node also is bigger in appearance compared to all the other nodes. My nodes represent objects concepts, nouns. My edged represents one node influencing another node. To distinguish between the four categories of art, technology, science of culture, I gave my nodes weight so ranking them by color would be more efficient. Through advertisements, middle class women were exposed to influential celebrities that flaunted their clothing and style on to middle class women. A big way a department store such as Harrods influenced middle class women was through the newspaper, The Daily Sketch. Furthermore, I learned that Harrods advertised gifts in newspapers to attract more customers. I believe that these gifts influenced holiday shopping culture, bringing more people seeking for low prices to department store I was also surprised to see an advertisement urging the people to receive their vaccinations at Harrods. I did not know that receiving a vaccination at a department store was possible, getting a vaccination at a pharmacy would be more practical. However, when researching I learned that department stores where the center of social gathering and a place for people to hang out during their leisure time. Urging people to get vaccinations at Harrods was a smart advertising scheme to get more people
