Human Trafficking was a mini-series that was so easy to watch and really kept my attention. It’s crazy to think that there really are some twisted people out there who sell women and underage females for sex, what is even more disturbing is that there is a clientele for it. Mira Sorvino is the main character, she is a cop and her charter’s personality is seen from scene one. A girl committed suicide, jumping from a window and she was able to tell that there was something going on. From the beginning, no one gives her any credit; everyone essentially was like you’re crazy. It’s not because of her ideas, but because she’s a female in a male-ran industry. She approaches the head of ICE and he is very hesitant about giving her this opportunity but eventually she proves herself. Towards the end you can see how she starts to do things on her own terms because she is tired of asking for permission just for her ides to be rejected for being “too dangerous.” She is a brilliant woman, but has constraints due to her gender. …show more content…

Her final scheme was to fake an online profile and attempt to get trafficked herself, however she chose to do this single handedly without the help of ICE. Mira had an internal conflict when her brother stated that the man who messaged her back looked like her uncle. Later the head of ICE shows up and tells her she is out of her mind and reckless for trying to do this especially by herself, he does eventually agree to go on with her plan with some added safety
