Are you interested in the evolution of the modern day species and how they have changed from thousands of years ago? Scientists and many people say it's because of evolution. Evolution is when different kinds of organisms have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth. There are a lot of reasons and explanations why species have changed do to adaptation, competition, and history are all big factors.
Competition changes a species by how the species fight to save themselves and family. It is hard for these species to all get food especially if there is more than one species. The fruit loop activity we had to compete for the most fruit loops, the person who had the most fruit loops was the survivor. The species who survive are the ones that can mate and reproduce. You need to be fit and fast to be a good competitor. In the beak lab, you had to get a certain amount of seeds in a 30 second time period. If you had gotten enough seeds, you won and lived on to pass your genes. To be able to collect the food needed a species that cant fight for themselves is gonna have a hard time staying alive let alone reproduce. …show more content…

The stickleback fish lab is a good example because they took the fish from two seperate places and had used a die to really see how different these fish are. The NOVA lab is also a good example because it shows the different trees of these species traits. DNA had affected these species greatly. These species have to be able to adapt physically and mentally to the environment and figure out how to live that way to be able to produce offspring. For example fish or a species have to adapt in their own ways. Not one species can do the same thing and be comfortable doing
