In the article ‘’ More College freshmen feel ‘above average’ ‘’by Martha she suggests that over 50 percent of students feel above average leaders. ‘’There are some advantages and some disadvantages to self-esteem, so having some degree of confidence is often a good thing’’. For example, the author claims that the students who feel like they deserve the best grades usually don’t and they’re just being over confident. I agree with Martha because every day I observe students who claim they deserve to get an A when often times they didn’t work hard enough to even pass.

My professor was Dawn Terrick although she is a great professor she is difficult to understand at times and I couldn’t comprehend what the paper was about. I didn’t withdraw from the class because I wanted to learn the skills even though I was bound to fail because of my lack of motivation and attendance. I ended up getting a D grade in the class it was not enough to pass but I was happy I got to re-learn the material the following semester. Ms. Murray has helped me a lot this spring semester, because we have had a lot of one on one time and she’s helped me improve with my thesis statements and my organization. This semester I earned a C at midterms and I was very proud of myself, because I did not give up. I feel like I earned the grade I have because I work hard and study
