The main reason why the movie Supersize Me was made was to prove that McDonald’s food has a huge impact on body weight. After two overweight girls in the age of 14 and 19 sue McDonald’s for gaining most of the weight because of dining McDonald’s. The filmmaker wanted to check if it’s possible that eating fast food could have a negative impact on the health condition. In the time of the court process there was no proof that McDonald’s caused that issue and the girls didn’t win the process because of lack of proof & arguments.

Morgan was the main character and the documentary is based on his experience. Morgan at the time of making the film was a middle age men and had a healthy lifestyle. He engaged a few other people like his partner Alexandra (who was a vegan and went through hard time during the experiment) to take part in documentary. He also asked for advice from three specialists: GP, cardiologist and gastrologist as well as a nutritionist and a personal trainer. His body was fully checked before he started his experiment. He spoke with French lady who insinuated that the chips in McDonald’s are much smaller portion in France than in USA.

Morgan showed long shots of kids standing in the line just to get chips or pizza or eating only junk food and drinking lots of drink that contains a lot of sugar. He made a point about one school in Appleton where most kids have some behavioral problems and where the school introduce new program to have no sugar and no process foods. They serve fresh fruits and veggies and prepare the food and bake instead of fry. They also have no candy and soda machine. The school staff admitted that student’s behavior is better and they are more focused. The paradox of that school is that the “trouble” kids eat better than good behaved ones or kids from private schools.
The other problem which was accented by Morgan was that it is not enough physical education at schools. One teacher in the movie said that he believes that kids need a minimum of 30 minutes of PE a day.

In many moments Morgan used aggressive music and negative pictures with the McDonald theme. Because of this it is possible that the documentary will create a negative opinion to the audience even before finishing the movie and having their
