My Experience At Eau Claire: College Experience

I am very interested in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire after my experience touring the campus on October 21st. One of the most important aspects of college life, to me, is having an identity on campus. At many larger schools, I have felt lost, and as if I were to attend, I would just be another name in the crowd. However, at Eau Claire, I felt the almost polar opposite. I saw the unique personalities of the students around me, and I felt a very welcoming sense to the whole campus. Before I had even talked to anyone, I knew that I could stand out at Eau Claire. I knew that I would not be just another face in the crowd. I met with Accounting and Finance Assistant Professor, Dr. Ling Liu, and her ability to answer all of my questions gave me a strong sense of confidence that I could succeed at UW Eau Claire. The ability to meet with a professor, not a TA, with a question was one of the most important aspects that stood out to me. I am a very motivated learner, as well as a very sociable person, so being able to meet and interact with my professors is something that is very important to me. My wonderful tour guide, Bailey Mueller, spoke of her personal connection with a professor after asking a simple question after class. Her small question lead into an hour long conversation and an eventual research project, all just from a simple interaction. Her story exemplified the exact reason why I feel Eau Claire is the perfect fit for me. The welcoming atmosphere that I experienced at Eau Claire was almost overwhelming, making the decision very clear on where I want to spend the next four years of my
