The Community College Completion Corps event was particularly important to me because I was always told that I would end up married and without a degree. Serving as an officer in Phi Theta Kappa Beta Delta Omicron chapter has also helped me demonstrate my leadership ability.
The simplest way to put my high school career into a single unconditional word of hope, altruism. Whether it was health occupation students of America, Mu-alpha theta, debate or shadowing a veterinarian, my school efforts all revolved around the central idea that no one person deserves anything more or less than anyone else. After rejecting the idea of self hedonism I realized that my life should be dedicated to the passion of helping others. As cliche as the knights have become, maybe their symbol has more meaning than their prestiges may hint at. My academic achievements were never enough to fulfill the desires of my capitalist heart.

My proudest achievement would be getting into Cumberland International Early College and making it oy my senior year. The three years I have spent at Cumberland International have been very difficult because of many reasons such as being on the campus of Fayetteville State University, taking almost two years of high school in only two semesters, and being pushed to excel from the beginning in order to prepare to take full level college courses by our tenth grade year. Although I struggled during my time at CIECHS it was a truly amazing opportunity to be accepted as the third graduating class of its time. As I am quickly approaching the end of my senior, I am looking back at how far I have come since freshman year and everything that Henley High School has helped me accomplish in my life. In preparation for the life that every senior must experience after school, the senior capstone project was put in place to help seniors find out what they would suit them as career and give them some of the necessary tools in achieving that. Part of the capstone was earning service hours at a non profit organization, that can go on a resume. With serving came a facilitator, who guides one’s service, and also the challenges and success of the service itself. To Provide help on future careers, Henley High School also provided an opportunity to take the CIS test
Essay #1 Throughout my high school career I myself have participated in various Service activities which I believe all have benefited the community. The one service activity that stands out the most for me is when I began two Lego Robotics teams for children in elementary school and mentored the two teams. I was inspired to help tutor these kids and the I myself had the idea of mentoring these Lego teams because I remember how much I enjoyed building Lego robots when I was a kid. so;, I thought that what better than to teach kids about Robotics.
These are some of the accomplishments I have did over my high school years. I am Maya Salone. Starting off my high school years by staying on track, making sure I will achieve my goals set ahead. As of so far I have achieved four/fifths of the goal. With A’s and B’s on my record throughout the year can be quite challenging.
In our community, I always strive to help others and the environment, and the people all around. I have assisted in the community cleanup at my local library and also the garbage cleanup at the beach. These actions that I have made helped shape my amazing experience at Wisdom Lane Middle School and they will help me shape my future for the better. These actions helped me build great relationships with the teachers in my school and even the principal. These pillars have helped me succeed in my three years of middle school and help me prepare for the rest of my years no matter what school I go to.
Attending Cypress Creek High School was a crazy roller coaster with its ups and downs, this school had a dramatic influence on who I am. While attending Creek I got to meet various of different friends and teachers; however, the teachers who I admired the most helped me to understand myself better as a person. They introduced me to extracurricular activities and clubs that I joined. Clubs like key club, Interact, National honor society, HOSA, and many others. Although, these are individual clubs, there is one unified goal of helping the community, and in helping out as many people possible.
My greatest success during the four years that I have been in the BSW program is when I was inducted into the Alpha Delta Mu social work honor society. This membership is not granted to everyone so I knew it was something special. Being honored with this achievement let me know that I am doing something right within my department and my professors noticed all the hard work I put in. Being inducted just makes me want to work harder to really make a difference in the field of social work and other people lives.
I am truly honored to be one of the many outstanding students at Seminole High School who are being considered for admission into our chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that I fulfill the expectations of the Society because I exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, and character in both our school and our community. However, the pillar that I feel that I represent best is service. After more than 130 hours volunteering, I feel that I can truly grasp what service means to our community, and how that service exemplifies one of the pillars of the National Honor Society.
They told me interesting stories of how they grew up and how the world was like when they were in my age and they sharing their wisdom and experiences that they dealt with which was priceless. I had an unforgettable experience where not only did the people I help feel good, but I felt good too. Which is why I want to kick start this club with like minded people could converge and give back to the community. Key Club is the oldest and largest non-profit organization that is student-led. This club is all about learning how to become a leader and being able to give back to the community. We do this by following our 4 core values: Caring, Leadership, Inclusiveness, and Character Building, The first Key Club was established at Sacramento High School on May 7, 1925, and it was a all-boys community service club. It wasn 't until 1976 when they first started letting female students join. Today, Key Club exists in about 5,000 high school campuses in 30 different countries, primarily in the United States and Canada.
While it was not dealing with exotic, endangered animals, I was still able to help homeless dogs find their forever homes by helping set up adoptions. Up until I started my Junior year of high school and got my first job, I spent about every weekend at the shelter. Eventually and sadly, I had to dedicate more time to work and school, as it was both important for me to stay on top of my grades and pay both my phone bill and car insurance. Working and balancing school may not be considered an “achievement” but it is something I am proud to have been doing since I have turned 16. This is because it has taught me many social skills I can use throughout my life and has also allowed me to fill in leadership roles; as I have helped with tasks in the work environment such as training, managing and dealing with customers, and so much
