My Interview At Beatley Library

On June 15, 2016, I conducted my interview with Roya Kamalzadeh. The interview was a fun and an interesting look into my co-worker and friend’s psyche. My original plan was to conduct the interview at Beatley Library, a library close to my home. I realized that the library would not be the best place to conduct the interview, because there were no private rooms in the library and I did not want to be interpreted with loud noises. For the previously stated reason I thought that neither of our homes would be an ideal location, so we did the interview in her car in the parking lot. On the recording I did say Beatley library because I had already written it down in my notes. One surprising thing I found out while doing this interview was that my phone had an interview function, so using my phone for the interview was easy. This function allows me to split the audio, meaning I can pause my part of the audio and just listen to her audio. Because my phone utilizes 2 mics in interview mode, it is recording us separately yet at the same time. This will be helpful for transcribing. Her social media persona is dictated by the people who follows her (her friends and family). She deliberately tries to be apolitical on social media, yet she wants to follow a profession that is very politically motivated. Another interesting thing is her boyfriend is not very involved in social media, but he is very interested in her social media and how she represents herself on social media. She also affected by what people think of her pictures and have gone so far as to delete pictures that did not receive many likes.
