I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
Ten years seems like a long way away from now. However, I have put a lot of thought into where I want to be. In Ten years my goals aren’t super complicated and I plan on having them happen. In the time span of ten years I plan to be through medical school.
As I traveled through each grade of the Croton-Harmon High School, my personal and academic goals helped to me to really flourish. These goals may have varied from year to year because a freshman is a little different from a senior, but they basically had all the same concept: I wanted to strive in school to be the best all-around student I could be, constantly stay focused and immerse myself in the Croton community. By setting my expectations and goals very high, I could flourish academically and really work to my full potential. By following these goals in school I pushed myself very hard and tried to take classes that would challenge me as well as help me to flourish as a student.
Following my graduation from ASU, I hope to attend Physician Assistant school or medical school. As a medical professional, I would like to work with underserved populations and follow in the footsteps of my grandmother. She worked as a nurse at a large corporate hospital, but also volunteered her knowledge and time at a local free clinic. My grandmother found time to give back despite raising four kids and a hectic night shift schedule. I hope to set a similar example, and always manage to give back to my community.
One of my ultimate goals is to attend Appalachian State University. Male to Female ratio at ASU is 45:55. This school provides you with technical and formal skills that are prior to your everyday life. In the American Dream I have, I would like to study to become a teacher, and a photographer. Working both of these jobs, owning a photography studio, and teaching 5th grade, it would estimate 60,000 dollars a year.
My five-year plan is first to graduate high school and has enough scholarship to pay for my college education. Then go to college and figure out what job I want to do in life. Then hopefully by the time I am in college, finding what my career path will be. That is my
Reflecting on my personal and educational goals I believe UNCW, Wilmington will not only allow me to grow as a student or person, but will create new challenges in my life that will lead to fulfilling my goal of becoming a successful woman someday. Growing up in a small town off the Coast of Maine, I have grown up learning to do things on my own and that things in life aren 't handed to you. Since I was able to work I have been; racking blueberries, hauling lobster traps, digging for clams, working in diners, and much more. I have learned to be independent and to not have to rely on others. The one thing in life I have always wanted is to be able make something of myself and to build a successful future and not have to stress or struggle.

College was always one of my long term goals as I continued with my education. Throughout the years I began to work harder and harder so I could secure my future. I knew that getting to college would not be easy. I am about to embark on a four year journey in one of the hardest fields to pursue. I will continue my education as a Nursing major at a four year university.
From stair-climbing wheelchair to prosthetic mind-controlled limbs - the rate of innovative products developed for the less fortunate people in the society is increasing. My long-term goal is to inspire the next generation of researchers to develop computational methods and optimization techniques that would help in creating products to aid differently abled people. I believe that making small changes to the design conceptualization methods will have a great impact on the efficient design of products. I believe that choosing a career as a professor will be a cardinal step towards reaching my long-term goal. I intend to pursue my goal and set financial stability for myself. In the next couple of years I plan to graduate college and pursue my dreams to be great. I will be financially stable and overall feel good about the decision I have made . I need to stay focused so can accomplish my goals in life to be successful I know everything I work hard for will pay off . Being able to do what I love most is all I need in life.
One of my goals is to graduate with honors. When completing my Bachelor’s Degree one of my goals would be to attend the Great Plains Convention. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree I would at that point pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Emporia State University. After receiving a Master’s Degree I would wish to open my own private practice and practice therapy for families.
I am currently in the process of figuring out what is next in my life. I do know I want to provide a successful future while I am able to. Ten years from now I would like to have already graduated college and made up my mind whether I want to go into medicine or not. If I chose not to get into medicine I would like to have married my beloved boyfriend that we are currently 4 years in. I would like to have form a family also; at least two or three kids to raise.
When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
