What is Nursing?

Being a nurse is more than just caring for and helping people. Nurses have many duties and obligations such as administering medications safely, performing appropriate procedures and following provider’s orders. As a nurse, I must care for individuals that are vulnerable and dependent on others and have compassion towards people in need. I must build trusting relationships with patients to make them feel safe, comforted, and important. With trust, patients will let me know more into their issues and life. I enjoy being able to give my free time to people who need it.
Something else I do for this community is donate plasma, giving others a chance. I do my best to be a helping member of this community and every community I live in. I strive to make a difference every day. Whether doing something as simple as picking up something someone dropped or sharing a smile with a stranger.
