My Pursuit Of Success At Indian River State College

When I think about success, what it means to me and what it will include, it is an inspiring, challenging, yet an empowering task. After careful thought and planning I know my success must include a well laid out plan to meeting my educational goals and achieving financial independence and that success has begun at my Indian River State College and it is proving to be a good place for me. First, education is one key component to reaching my success. Without furthering my education, I will not be marketable in the career field I desire, which is accounting. The skills that are necessary for this career must be obtained at a college level. Every degree I may earn puts me in a better position to be employable or to perhaps one day have a business of my own. Education gives me options on which I can build additional knowledge while exploring other related fields such as business management. Schooling will also help with my personal development such as self esteem and competency by exploring new concepts, keeping an open mind and working hard at everything I do.

I define financial independence as having enough monetary resources to provide a simple, yet comfortable life for myself, with enough resources to help others as well. In order to achieve financial independence, I need to have a sustainable job in a career, such as accounting. In order to achieve that goal, I plan to stay in school and complete the required degrees. By planning carefully, the spending and saving of resources becomes another marker of my success. Achieving financial independence will create self reliance and confidence that I will gain with that
