This one rings a bell I am a man of action and not of words. I must figure things out my way first before I start a project. I enjoy building things.
According to the website, I love novelties and surprises. I am also big on emotion and expression. I overextend myself emotionally and physically, as well as get distracted my procrastination and by overlooking details. I tend to start new projects and ventures without finishing ones I have already started. I aim to please people and can show signs of irritability
Imagine this: You and your classmates are asked to lift ‘x’ amount of weight, ‘x’ amount of times, or for ‘x’ period of time. During these lifts, you will be analyzed and assessed based off performance. The assessment will begin during or after instructions are given and will continue throughout the semester. Steady build of progress is expected and select milestones must be obtained in order to perform well in the class. After the instructions are given, you and your classmates are to begin performing the required criteria.
My favorite book is the “Mocking Jay,” and my favorite TV show is Kim Possible. I adore the color pink and sparkles because I like bling and being super girly. My abilities are being athletic; I like to run track, play volleyball and basketball, being able to finish my homework, protecting my little sister from harm, and creating new experiences. I enjoy eating red beans and rice with short ribs. My qualities are having determination, faith, and being able to accomplish anything I put my mind to.
The Holland Interest Inventory (RAISEC) is a personality assessment designed by John Holland used to help analyze career interest. In summary of my results from the Holland Interest Inventory (RAISEC), I am Realistic- Enterprising- Conventional (R-E-C). Thanks to the more complex and personal questions I can have closer info because it allows for more accurate information. Because of this survey, it has helped me chose my job of wanting to be a statistician. If I did not have this survey I don’t think I would 've found as exact information. I feel the career cluster survey is one of the better ways to get info on things for you because of the better information. Career Choice
My character traits help me to gain the trust and respect of my peers as they believe me to be extremely creative and a dependable person. I have great problem-solving skills; I tend to think outside the box and I have
My current major is Marine Biology but if I would find it more fulfilling I would switch my major to do something I would enjoy more. Due to the results I got from the Jung Typology test I plan on doing my upcoming interview on someone from one of the career paths given to me from this test. Taking this test has made me consider different career paths other than my current major. Taking the Jung Typology test caused me to look into different career paths I would have never thought about looking into if I was not for taking this test. By asking more personal questions this test gets to know a little about what interests the test taker and what they would enjoy.
Focus 2 Assignment – Reflection Upon completing the Focus 2 career assessment program, I am quite impressed at the quality of information it presents. It allowed me to not only look at careers that would fit my personality, but also those that take into consideration the fields I am already interested in. Also, as with any form of self-assessment, there were strengths and weaknesses that I did not expect based on how I feel I live my life currently. Beginning chronologically, the program had me complete two subjective, current measures of my professional career.
Confluent, I connect things that are unrelated, I like to take risks, I look for a purpose in things, I operate with clear goals and my mind is like a laser. I focus on that one thing. I love connecting the dots, similar to a detective (which I should totally become one day!). I feel energized by possibilities that are still in the idea stage, I always have an idea then better ideas after the fact. For example, If you ask me to type or write something up.
In regards to my personality it’s fair to say that am very friendly, assertive, jovial, approachable, and genuine and very open minded person. Also I must say that I am very extraverted and observant. I am a very clean person and at times I can be scornful if I see something out of place or if cleaning isn’t done correctly. I am not afraid to express myself, for instance I love hair. I would prefer to have hair than to eat food I mean I would sacrifice whatever, I have just to try different kinds of hair.
I believe creativity comes with personality because it is your own way of doing things. People who are creative, I believe have great visual minds because they can make something their own from what they see. After completing my self-discovery tapestry, there were different patterns of behavior when coloring in the categories: pets, intense friendships, years in school, hobbies, and self-taught skills. These categories had two or more colors because as I got older my experiences changed and grew with me.
For the most part, this letter seems to fit me. However, I do not consider myself an extremely curious and reserved person. I enjoy facts and like to know how things work, but not necessarily why those things work the way they do. I also greatly enjoy being social and talking to other people. I find it interesting that my third letter would generally not enjoy working with people, when my second letter thrives off working with others.
Final Self-Evaluation My time in Denny’s Freshmen Year Experience class has been very helpful and resourceful. When deciding our grade for the past semester, Denny asked us to grade ourselves based on how we think we did on class assignments, participation, and attendance. I believe this is a great way in which students can look back over the past semester and really see how much effort they actually put into the class. I believe that I put a lot of effort into the past semester and my goal next semester is to do even better and flourish in the topics or assignments that I might not have done every well on last semester. I like to take pride in the fact that I did attend almost every lecture and seminar.
If one were to ask me to describe myself, I’d describe myself as a very ambitious, diverse, intelligent, risk taking man. I am ambitious, because I love being successful. I love when I achieve the things that I’ve always wanted to achieve. I am diverse enough to know that there is no thing such as one truth or manner. I am diverse, because I lived in three different countries, I spoke three different languages and I witnessed three different cultures.
