Back in Highschool, I played football for the Central Wildcats. We were always a great football team, but we experienced a lot of adversity and tough luck. My team and I always won most of our games, but would always lose the games that mattered most and that would excel us forward in the rankings. One of the games that took a big toll on me was my last high school against Parkway. The Parkway game took the biggest toll on me because we really shocked everyone, but lost at the end. Going into this game, nobody believed that we had a chance, but my teammates and me. Even on social media, there were polls that said we had zero chances because Parkway has always had championship caliber teams. We were a humble unit, so although Parkway was trash talking on the internet, we ignored it. When Friday came about, we were ready to ball. The game started off with a lot of three and outs and then they had a fluke play and scored. We shook it off and went back out there hype. Our offense was blocking really well and our freshman Quarterback managed to get in for the easy score. After this score, the first quarter ended and the score was seven to seven. Our offense did not usually get going early in the game like this, so the defense and I was happy. We went back out there and got the ball back from a fumble recovery. The Parkway defense stopped us too. When our offense went back out, they scored again and we went up fourteen to seven. Parkway started to get nervous but later scored at the end of the half to tie the game up fourteen to fourteen. Our Head Coach was proud of us for not folding under pressure.
