Nikolai Tesla was a scientist from Croatia on 9th of July 1856 and died on 7th of January 1943 (Matthews, 2). He came to America and lived there for the majority of his lifetime. He accomplished major contributions in science and technology and patented numerous inventions. Several of his inventions made a resounding impact on history and society. He was responsible in discovering the rotating magnetic current and the invention the alternating-current electrical system or AC, one that is widely used around the world up to this date. Tesla coil was also one of his major invention. He was also responsible in the design of the power generation, one of which was the one in Niagara Falls, the first Hydroelectric power plant in the world. He also contributed in the areas of power transmission, radio and television. What is your question about the source? I would like to ask why despite his major contributions to the world, Nikolai Tesla is not celebrated as much as other scientists like Edison, Einstein and others. I want to know how he developed his inventor mind. I want to know his inspirations for his inventions. I want to know where he gets his ideas and how he chooses a specific one to make it a reality. I want to know the factors that played a part in the success of his career and alternatively, the factors that led to the downfall of his career.
