In conclusion, communication skills is vitally important to the health and social care sector if practitioners relationships with services users, careers and other agencies. Communication may break down as a result of a break in Argyle theory between the sender and receiver. As a result, effective communication requires practitioner to know what barriers can occur and how to avoid or overcome them. Choosing the right style of communication is also important, as by choosing the wrong medium it can lead to misinterpretation of the message being delivered. Extra caution is needed in cross cultural situations, given that different cultures have different social norms regarding nonverbal communication. By being aware to the errors in communication
