Obesity has been a growing problem not only in America, but worldwide. America, however has had one of the highest growth in obesity out of all countries. Obesity has become a major struggle in kids and who will grow up eating the same way that the adolescents were taught while growing up. Whose fault would this be? Parents, for not helping children by feeding the right and nutritional food? Fast food companies for advertising and not being frank about what is really in the food being served? Obesity is a problem that affects everyone, and will continue to grow unless we take the proper precautions to end this disease.
Obesity has been one of this country’s biggest problems. Obesity is not only a problem but it is a disease, it falls in the same category as cancer and diabetes. Responsible for approximately 300,000 deaths in the United States, obesity can be caused by poor eating habits, over eating, binge eating, family history or obesity, lack of physical activity etc. Overweight …show more content…

Even when giving nutrition facts, industries still give misleading information. For instance: nutritional facts are only giving the calories of a serving size, rather than giving the calories for the entire meal. As long as the American people are uninformed about what is being put in the their bodies, it could not be fully understood how unhealthy this may be. One of the first steps in fighting this obesity epidemic would be to start making it more known what is actually in this food. If restaurants were to advertise: Bacon Clubhouse Crispy Chicken Sandwich with 750 calories, 1750mg of sodium and 10g of saturated fat people would be less likely to buy. Instead advertisement is all about bragging of the cheap price for the large amount of food families can get. Families struggling to make ends meet is not uncommon, so a large meal for a cheap price would surely catch
