Odysseus As A True Hero In Homer's Odyssey

A hero is someone who is admired or idealized for their noble qualities. After all of Odysseus's adventures, he has proven to be a true hero. In The Odyssey, Odysseus is a hero in many ways. He has great tactics of leading his men through dangerous situations. Odysseus also never leaves his men behind. Another major skill every hero should possess is the power of knowledge, which Odysseus manages to always think outside the box. Through his journey to come back home to Ithaca, Odysseus uses his leadership, altruistic, and clever skills to prove to be a true hero. Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization to accomplish a goal. Odysseus shows great leadership in the stories within The Odyssey. For example, in the story “The Cyclops,” Odysseus saved his men from being eaten by the Cyclops. Odysseus involuntarily trapped him and his men in the Cyclops cave. They could not escape

Often at times Odysseus shows wisdom at the right moments. When they were in the Cyclops cave in the story “The Cyclops”.
