Barry Mann once said, “you are going to have more rejection than acceptance.” This is true, a lot of people reject more than accept because, people don’t want to blame themselves, so they blame someone else. Oprah Winfrey was born January 29, 1954. On her first six years, she was raised in a farm in rural Mississippi, by her grandmother. Her grandmother taught her to read, which she loved to do. Also, she loved to talk, she was nicknamed “the preacher” at church. This early life changed dramatically when Oprah went to live with her mother in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began to misbehave, and ran home to her father in Nashville, Tennessee. Then, she became a honors student, and joined many after school activities. So much that, She was chosen as one of two students in the state to go to the White House Conference on Youth. Later, she discovered the good attribute of her voice, on a beauty contest. She was the first African-American woman newscaster in Nashville. Oprah was moved from the news to an early morning talk show. In a article it states, Oprah winfrey was the first african-american women in nashville, and she did not stay as a reporter because of her emotional separation by the stories she was given. This proves, she was too emotional when she was given a news to report about.
