Global Green Book Publishing has dealt with many problems since their opening. They are not delivering their eBooks to their customers on schedule, not providing quality texts, and unable to control costs (Case). These problems all started to overwhelm GGBP once they got a new customer, a local university. Since GGPB was suffering from these blights, the university was unhappy as their eBook products reached campus late for use by professors and student (Case). After assessing GGBP, in my professional opinion, they need to dismiss all part-time employees and have only a workforce of full-time employees which will be more efficient, reduce errors, and create a better working environment for everyone at GGBP.

By dividing that number by 40, you would find the full-time equivalence for that task and job type. I would have GGBP also identify any current part-time employees that could be transitioned into a full-time role. Then I would compare the needed manpower to what GGBP currently has to find where they will need to hire. Once hired, I would have the new full-time employees onboarded and trained while the current part-time employees continue to work. There will be an overlap of employees, but this will allow time for the new staff to be adequate brought up to speed. Once the training is finished and the new workforce is prepared, the part-time employees will be phased out. This whole process should take 4 months to complete with a budget of $103,700.00. GGBP has stated that they cannot take the time to train their current employees because of the workload, but since these employees will not be working on any projects when they start, they can take the time necessary to learn the special skills to operate any unique equipment are complete any required task. Having a full-time staff will also allow for task assigning to be much easier. When an order comes in, a task list is created based on the project. By knowing that everyone will have fixed schedules, a manager can easily assign tasks to people knowing that they will have enough time to complete it and not have to hand an incomplete task off to another employee. There would not be the wasted time not knowing what needs to be done or have any confusion of working on a task that was not completed by someone else. By not having a workforce made up of unskilled part-time employees, GGBP would be a more efficient and better running company. There would not be confusion on what task needs to be done, and the employees would have all necessary training to finish that task.
