I 'd like to show you two famous buildings, which is Pantheon and Parthenon. If you have ever seen both structures befroe, you might think that they have visual resemblance. Surprisingly, their names seem to be similar. But, there are some differences between them. Let’s get started.
First of all, I will show you two explanation in wiki.
Pantheon :The Pantheon is a building in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier building commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus(27 BC – 14 AD).
Parthenon : The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron.

I think it is important to correlate it’s style with role. Especially, at that time, It is quite true. The Parthenon building means the power of the Athenians. So, it was chosen as a monument. At that period, those who lived in Athena believed that god of Greece helped and would help them to thrive. In a sense, It makes sense to build the buildings like Parthenon for them. According to what I searched for, Parthenon is being used as a museum. The Pantheon, on the other hand, was used as the tomb of kings. And now, it is used as a Roman church.
In conclusion, they have some similarties but they have also different features becuase they don’t share exactly same environment. People,desire for something, geometry they are. I have realized that they are quite different but they wanted to live in better life. So, they put those desire into paintings, sculptures, buildings and it have made culutres. We should understand these context and approach because it is the easiest way to appreciate a work. In a sense, these two cultures, Pantheon and Parthenon, share some similarties their culture reflects their individual societies.
