I 'm not sure if the majority of these words can be taught in the traditional, academic sense of "explicitly teaching" it. The seven steps of teaching vocabulary terms we learned may not be as applicable in this classroom.

Peer tutors was designed to help students who are struggling academically. I currently tutor students in Physics, a class that I excelled in. I. Introduction A. Ethical issues in child custody arise when there is an issue with the custody of the child. This may be when there is a possibility of a separation or divorce within the family, and the question that comes to mind is who will the child or children be staying with and which parent will be the one making the decisions in the child’s life. Other than the issue concerning the custody child, other issues arise such as personal property, who is responsible for the break-up, and indifferences between both parents. B. When parents have conflict concerning the custody of their children, they should bring in professionals for help. The main roles of professional councils are to help the relationship between the families or to help the parents devise a long-term plan for the parenting of the child or children.
Drucker Reflection After having taken the Sheltered English Immersion course this past summer, much of the information that was presented in this article was a review for me. However, there was some information that I found to be interesting and will now look upon my current instruction to see if I should correct my strategies. One area in particular that I find to be essential for literacy instruction with intermediate English Language Learners is developing vocabulary. For example, one point that I found interesting was the integration of vocabulary with instruction rather than just pre-teaching vocabulary. This seems contrary to was I was told in my SEI course as we learned about the Seven-Step Process and Illustrated Dictionaries as strategies to teach vocabulary.
The purpose of group learning and development is to ensure that all learning styles are catered for and the ultimate goal of sharing knowledge is achieved. When using a group to deliver something new each individual can call on a fellow participant to confirm understanding. 1.2 Explain why delivery of learning and development must reflect group dynamics When delivering to a group it is important to consider, what is the normal behaviour within the group? Who plays what role?
Shared Reading, is where the teacher models and support students. Generally, the teacher reads for enjoyment first then later, the teacher may focus on theme, title, cover, illustrations, and predictions. Significantly, it is during this type of reading that student contribution is strongly encouraged. Language concepts are emphasised, and in this way, typical phonics/grammar knowledge is strengthened. Guided Reading is an instructional reading strategy during which a teacher works with small groups of children who have similar reading processes and needs.
SOCIAL INFLUENCES Social Facilitation The term social facilitation means that a human being may improve their performance because of the presence of surrounding people. Social facilitation occurs in society every day, in ways that the common people don’t even notice. Norman Triplett’s experiments in 1897 set the example for studying enhanced performance due to the number of people participating in that experiment.
Peer observation is less stressful and more beneficial. A peer observation is mentoring. By observing a peer of the same working practice we get aware of what are we or our peers doing right or wrong. We get new teaching methods and strategies. We also become capable of self assessment.
Who am I? I am Quentina Burnett and I have been developed by socialization, to be able to fit within the society. Socialization is the process where an individual learns behavior, values, culture, and norms of the society to develop his or her personality to become a proficient person in the society (Keirns et al., 2016). This process starts in the early stage of a baby, to an adult, and continues until the individual dies. The process of socialization gives people and myself the basic social contact and social interaction needed to develop “self”.
As the online scene is rapidly prevailing in our everyday life, the traditional form of face to face learning is slowly shifting its practice towards online learning. Online courses are becoming a growing trend with a flexible way of functioning in respect to time, location and accessibility. However, even though it sounds appealing, students need to consider the advantages and features of face to face learning which cannot be found online. Traditional educationis based on and helps develop: communication skills through interaction, discipline and organization, as well as a distinct value that traditional degrees have for future career advancement. Those in favor of online learning would argue that communication online is possible and just as valuable of an interaction.
