To assess my own personal learning preference, I took the perceptual learning preference survey created by Kate Kinsella (1993). Upon taking the perceptual learning preferences survey, it became clear that many of the questions to which I responded “usually” were those that seemed to indicate preferences for reading and visual learning, or the ability to utilize all the senses while learning. I noticed indicating a dislike toward questions that seemed mostly auditory in nature. Toward the end of the survey, I assumed the results would favor either a visual or kinesthetic learning style, and guessed that auditory might be one of the lowest scoring preferences.
