Effectiveness is defined as the degree in which something is successful in producing a desired result. Atticus Finch is an ingenious lawyer who is an exceptional example of a practical and respectful person in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Although tested very often throughout the book, he continued to define perseverance in a calm but assertive way. Atticus is chosen to defend Tom Robinson, an African American man accused of raping a white woman by the name of Mayella Ewell.
