1. I chose to abstain from drinking sweet tea for the next 30 days. My accountability partner will be my boyfriend, Justin. I see him daily and he will hold be accountable for not drinking sweet tea. He is aware of the project and will make sure that I do not relapse!
2. I chose sweet tea because I drink it daily and feel that I must have it. If I do not have tea at some point during the day, I become irritable. I believe I am addicted to sweet tea. I often drink it with lunch and dinner. I also make it at home and drink it throughout the day. As a child I grew up drinking tea instead of sodas, so I have always been a tea person. It will be a challenge to give up for this project, but I am confident that I will have a positive outcome.
3. I think it will be challenging to abstain from sweet tea for 30 days. I drink it almost daily and rarely go without it. I am positive that I will struggle with this commitment, but through determination I will do my best to abstain for the whole 30 days. I plan to inform my family members and friends of this project and that I am abstaining from sweet tea. This way, they will be on board with me and not put me in a situation where I am tempted to drink tea. By getting them involved, I plan to cut down on our total sweet tea intake overall. It will be very rewarding for my family to complete this project along with me. In the situation of relapse, it’s very possible that I drink tea in the beginning of this project. If relapse does occur, I plan to take note of the situation that led me to drink tea and change that behavior by drinking water instead. I know that I cannot prevent being around sweet tea at family functions or restaurants, so I am going to drink water at either of these places. I plan to do my best for this project and hopefully can abstain for the whole 30 days to get the best
