I have led many club activities such as concession stands, volunteer services, and other community led activities. I have become a great leader to many of these kids as president of our school club, S-Club. I am in very good standing academically and known for my exceptional work ethic. I have matured with each of the trials and events I have encountered that have come my way during my senior year. The skills I have gained over the course of the year will help me towards my main career goal in mind, professional.
At my physician office, the staff always dress and act professionally. I have been going to my physician since I was 6, I have even job shadowed my physician. I do not recall a time my physician or his staff has ever been unprofessional. They are always dressed in scrubs or business casual. Being a part of these groups will likely be beneficial to my interpersonal skills and will challenge me to do something that will benefit other students. Likewise, I would also like to become involved in WCU's student government association as I think this would be a great opportunity to continue to hone the skills that I have been developing during my High School student government experience, while also learning to work with a larger and more diverse group of people than I have worked with
I have heard several stories of my parents’ relatives, close friends or associates who lost their lives in accidents to illness. These stories could have had different, happier endings, I often concluded. I know of an eleven-year-old girl diagnosed with Alopecia Areata, laughing uncontrollably after watching her doctor make funny faces. For a moment, not only did this little girl forget that she was losing hair, but her smile expressed joy and the beauty of being alive. At this point I thought that a doctor would not only work on treating the physical condition of the patient but would have a big role in bringing joy in spite of their hopeless condition.
Hi Matt, this is Logan Sanders. After completing the preliminary Residential Assistant training I was not placed in a position. However, I was told by Shannon Jolley that "you are the very first person on our alternates’ list and will likely be awarded a position, even in the next few weeks". I received this email in early March, and understand that it I was not guaranteed a position. Regardless, I wanted to make contact to say that I am still interested in taking a position if one becomes available.
Before I begin the usual November Newsletter “Thanks,” I would like to introduce the two new members to the JPPSS Transportation Team: Tania Garcia and Marion Sanders. Tania is our new Transportation Data Technician who is quickly learning the fuel, payroll, and dispatch duties which accompany that position. One leadership role I currently have is a teacher assistant for 3&4-year-olds. As a teacher assistant in the 3&4-year-old Sunday school classroom, I have many responsibilities. My roles include checking kids in, implementing curriculum, organizing activities, and helping kids with a craft. During my time in the classroom, I work with whole groups, small groups, and individuals. My goal is to help all the kids to become good leaders and role models.

I was pleased to learn of your need for a work study – student assistant. I am currently a student in the education department working towards my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in 4-8th grade Social Studies. Working for a call center for many years, before come back to school, I know that I have acquired many of the skill you are looking for to preform essential job functions. At the banking call center I was expected to answer calls, log conversations, route calls, and other operational task. As a liaison for my department, I would also communicate and train other departments, work on special projects, collect and sort data.
Hello, I am Jakeline Guerrero Hernandez and I am just going to tell you a little bit about myself. I will begin with my academics, so last year I was part of the Jump Start program in which I got to complete my first year of my associate’s degree while still in High School. This semester I am taking some courses at the campus as well as online. This will be my first time taking online courses so if any of you have any suggestions they are greatly appreciated. I decided to take this course because I had Kim as my Jump Start professor for history and really enjoyed her class she definitively has a way of making history interesting and fun.
Being a Dental Assistant changed my view-point in healthcare, I have learned a lot being lead dental assistant. There have been many times in my career as a dental assistant, when I would learn something new, whether it was related to health field or learning something new from my peers. Just when had started achieving the experience in dentistry, I met a major accident, which had major impact on me. I was asked to take bed rest and was advised to not assist as a dental assistant, due to increasing pain in back. Therefore, I had to reconsider about my career planning and development.
Working with children and helping them to succeed is an aspect of my life that I have always cherished. From the time that I was very young, I have always loved working with other people, as well as leading them. I have been involved in projects working with, and guiding people for numerous years, and I honestly could not imagine my high school years without these service projects. I was a part of the PALS program and I also helped with the Elementary School's production of the Little Mermaid. During these tasks, I was given the opportunity to help and inspire children of all ages.
Resident Assistants are like Jailers, and the Dorm seems like a prison. At least that was the case prior to the establishment of the Dorm Council. I’ve never lived in a Dorm before,which was my first experience that I had to share my space with roommates, strictly follow a pre-determined schedule, and be answerable to somebody outside of my family. After living one year in Dorm, I believed that some Dorm rules need to be changed. Dorm Council was founded in order to meet boarding students’ needs.
Nursing, and everything that it entails, cannot be easily described in just one simple word or phrase. It goes beyond the meaning of a profession and the stereotypical definition of treating the ill. Nursing is the “protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations” (American Nurses Association, 2010, p. 1). Therefore, it is a career that requires dedication, passion, critical thinking, and knowledge. It demands commitment and an understanding of its core values and concepts, as well as the nurse’s own personal philosophy and principles.
I have served in leadership roles as National Honor Society Vice President, Mu Alpha Theta First Vice President, and a Student Leadership Member. I have also traveled to the Texas State Capitol to learn about leadership, government, and the history of Texas from Texas State Representative Cecil Bell Jr.. Furthermore, I have coordinated a banquet and organized a school assembly which registered voting age seniors to vote in the US Presidential Election, and will now serve as an example for other schools in the region. All of these experiences have fostered my growth as a leader, and I would be able and willing to provide guidance and leadership within the community in various ways. I am interested in joining various organizations and volunteering as well as giving my time to help my peers individually.
