I completed my application online and delivered it to the trailer marked “Now Hiring” in the parking lot.

I didn’t want to grab it too hard or I would smash it.

As creatures on Earth we are all given different emotions and feelings. To be happy in good times, sad in others, or angry at times of struggle. Nonetheless we were also given the feelings of fear which can be quiet terrifying for some individuals depending on what they are afraid of. When it comes to children there is a common fear of monsters and being left alone.
Let me explain; When I was younger I was really afraid of clowns. I was especially afraid of this show that used to come on tv called “The Big Comfy Couch.” It sounds like a harmless little kid show but it was anything but that. It was about this deranged girl who always dressed up as a clown and supposedly talked to her doll telepathically. If that doesn’t sound creepy to you I don’t know what does.
The Punta Cana Vacation Have you ever had a vacation where your child does something horrible in public at a swimming pool? A vacation is when one or more people are gone for an extended period of time. When I was four years old me, my mother, my father, my grandpa, and my grandma went to Punta Cana to get away from the cold weather. It has been happening, ever since we left Illinois and Missouri. So, we boarded the plane and took off to Punta Cana, everyone was either taking a nap or watching a movie while the plane was moving.

When I was in 8th grade, me and my friends decided to go on the Haunted Hayride. We all got in the tractor which took us to the top of a hill and dropped us off at the start of the maze. When we got out of the tractor we went to the maze entrance and me and all my friends were very scared. Through the whole maze me and my friends were screaming and holding onto each other. At the end of the maze we were all scared but laughing at the same time, but we wanted to go through it again.
When I was 12 years old, my mom took my friends and I to the Haunted Hayride. Unfortunately, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. For being in Middle School, I was pretty freaked out when we got off the trailer to walk through a corn maze , when then came a guy wearing a mask with a chainsaw chasing us out!!!! It was an exciting and horrid night for my friends and I.

When I was growing up, my mom had the habit of packing me leftovers from dinner the night before, usually vegetables simmered in a masala sauce with some rice. While delicious, the aroma had the tendency to drift across our small lunchroom and pierce the noses of anyone who dared sit next to me. It stank of something foreign and unfamiliar, something to be avoided. My lunches transformed me into a pariah; no one wanted to sit next to the girl with the smelly food and the funny-sounding name. Because I was the only brown girl in the whole class, ignoring my peers was about as much of an option as was standing up to them.
Like many others, the chocolate chip cookie brings back memories from my childhood. One of my favorites is running into my grandmother’s house after chasing my dogs around outside and being greeted by the warmth and aroma of freshly baked cookies in the oven. Even nowadays, when I enter her house, the sweet smell fills the air and I leave any bitterness, frustration, or sadness that I may have at the door. All across the Internet, there are many chocolate chip cookie recipes that claim to have perfected the art of this American classic. Some of them are pretty delicious to be perfectly honest, but none of them taste quite as heavenly as the ones that are made with my grandmother’s love.
