Narrative Essay Coming as a seventeen years old tenneager from Colombia. It was very difficult to adapt to the English language. It was difficult until I met the most influential teacher Mr. Fisher. This teacher made it very easy for me to develop my literacy. This teacher had a unique way of teaching. He reminded me very much of Socrates. He was very different. He made learning full of fun, connecting to his students, and he offers after school help. One the biggest reason why I fell in love with his teaching style, is that he have fun teaching. He was a very funny character. Throughout the subjects we learned throughout the year, he always tends to make games in order to learn. For example, instead of writing about things that we don't care about, he found a way to teach us the methods by using things that we care about. Fisher had the most impact on me when learning English is that he connected with his students. He understood where we came from as ESL (English Second Language) students. He knew that most of us are struggling in our lives. That being said, the way he approached us was very humble, very sensitive, very helpful. For example, he gave every student base in their situation different expectations, tasks, and homework. He would first talk to you and discover what the right balance or pressure of work he should give you. He was willing to be very flexible when it comes to due dates. Another reason why Mr. Fisher is a legend in his game is that he offer after school tutoring time. He would work with you on assignments, or homework that you had questions about. He was willing to even stay for hours after school just to help you. That showed his students that he really cares. In addition, that motivates that student to their best because they have to impress someone who cares about them. That factor of him caring so much pushed me as student to do my
