I woke up to the sound of the obnoxiously loud snow plows outside my window. I moved my long striped curtains away from the window, and look out to see the kids throwing snowballs and the joy it puts on their faces. I drop the curtains and glance at my alarm clock that reads 7:59. I panic when I remember that my flight takes off at eleven. I go to visit my family every year for Christmas, well my mom anyway. My father and I has always been distant, and he never seemed to have much interest in me. I remove my bed sheets in a hurry and begin to pack up my stuff and take it to the car. I grab a quick bagel and snatch a water from the fridge as I head out. l grab the keys, lock the door, and finish putting my suitcases in the car. As I get in the car I feel a vibration in my pocket, and check my phone to see a text from my mom. She reminds me that we have to pick up our traditional dessert for Christmas Eve today, on our way home. I respond with a quick “Can’t wait!”, and pull out of my long snowy driveway. The ride to the airport is long as it is, not to mention the traffic that the Christmas holiday brings. I grab my bags and walk through the entrance to the airport. They were waiting for me to get back with the movie. For some reason, I was not in the mood for watching the movie anymore. I gave the movie to my mother, and as she took it she looked concerned, but said nothing. I walked back through the hallway to my room, and sat on the bed. I couldn't get the librarian out of my head. When I first made eye contact with him I knew he looked familiar, but how? Then, he knew my name somehow, and that's what confuses me the most.
