Personal Narrative: How School Has Changed My Time

Before I started school I did nothing but work, sleep and hang with my friends. I had time to go where I wanted and do more that I wanted. I also got a lot more sleep. I pretty much had that “get up and go whenever” type of life outside of work. But once school started, that all came to a screeching halt. To avoid everything becoming too overwhelming I had to learn to manage my time for more productive days. Now that I have started school my schedule has dramatically changed. I have trouble some mornings when I have to rush off to school right when I get off work at eight thirty in the morning. So, due to me working and going to school full-time, I had to make a schedule to help my days go a little smoother. My planned schedule is to go class from 8:30a.m. until 12:55p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For Tuesday and Thursday I only have one class that starts at ten thirty in the morning and ends at twelve. Each day I take at least two to three hours to study and do homework for each class. After that I go straight to sleep until it is time for work at eleven at night. I have been successful at allowing enough time for more productive days and the schedule is working out really well. Only thing is my leisure time is even more limited, but that doesn’t matter because I am bettering myself. You know what they say, “work now, play later”! I also get more sleep than before. It still can be a bit hard at times and I get sleepy, but who wouldn’t by working overnight and carrying over the next day with school. As time progresses, I know that the time management will be very beneficial to me and it probably will be a habit that I carry on with me through other situations in
