If I had to choose one activity to pursue, I would go with activity number one: assistant at Drake Dental. I would choose this one primary because it involves helping others. “We rise by lifting others” is a quote that resonates with me as I believe strongly in its message. At my physician office, the staff always dress and act professionally. I have been going to my physician since I was 6, I have even job shadowed my physician. How has the clinical experience changed you as a person? I think the clinical experience has had a positive impact on my life. I feel I have slowly discovered how much I enjoy working in a hospital setting. I figured I would enjoy taking x-rays, but you never truly know until you are actually in the environment. In a way I have become more caring as a person, especially when you see newborn babies struggling and fighting for their lives.
Conflict among health care workers is common and has been associated with lack of collaboration, communication and disruptive behavior with the potential to have a negative impact on teamwork (Kim, Nicotera, & McNulty, 2015). A recent conflict that I have observed at work about few days ago was between one of my coworker, a staff member and a surgeon. The staff member arrived for the night shift and took report from the day shift nurse, who had a rough day at work. She noticed that the patient had a bowel surgery four days ago and is still on patient controlled analgesia (PCA).

How I earned these hours was by going once a week and doing four hours and I help people locate where they need to go and I also go to the floors and help them get their things ready when they are about to get discharged. I was highly impressed by the overall teamwork in the emergency department. It has a sense of organized chaos that would have taken me some time to adjust to. My nurse and I ended up going through a large group of patient during the time I was there. The nurse has this uniformity to how she would get her tasks done. The thing that through me off was the amount of stuff got done with our patients by other people.
On March 24th, 2017, I was assigned to Medical-surgical unit of Arlington Memorial Hospital. My patient was 56-year-old woman, came to the hospital complain of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, and bloody diarrhea. She was admitted in the hospital two days ago. I had medication check off that day so I was responsible to give her medication.
It was the beginning of June 2015. I had signed up to start volunteering at the Henry Ford Hospital. I was not sure what my job there would be, and I had no experience, whatsoever, working in a hospital. I knew that I would not be assigned a difficult job as it would be my first time working there. My job there was about to start in a few weeks.
I braced against my opponent on the field-- calves burning, sweat soaking through my hair. Anxiety overcame me. We were tied with twenty seconds left on clock, and the opponent was sprinting beside me with the ball. As we both charged towards the goal, I tried my best to knock the ball out of his mesh. Yet, my attempts proved to be fruitless.

Managing conflict can be divided into two aspects, one is conflict prevention, another one is resolution of conflict. Although managing conflict is time consuming, it is necessary to handle it well to prevent the adverse effect on relationship between staff, patient care and productivity which can also influence the job satisfaction and cause increasing in turnover rate (Simpao,
