I improved writing as the semester go on. The more I wrote the less demanding it appeared to write my essays. I can perceive how I have become better as a writer as I set up my portfolio together. I can see I am preferable at significant writing assignments over the timed writing we had in class. As I complete ENG 111 I have an inclination that I have learned a considerable measure.
Since my early days of learning, I used to enjoy the writing of all kinds from creative, essay, information among others although I often struggled to do it. I took English in my first semester of college and it made me feel very excited. However, at the back of my mind, I knew the assignments will be tough but they were generally interesting and the topics were engaging. The semester had been quite busy and it was characterized with a lot of assignments such as, essays, discussions as well as research project among others. Generally, all experience of learning was beneficial despite the challenges that I faced along the way.
Everybody knows that there are four seasons, and everyone has their favorite one out of all of them. Mine is when the woods turns into a coloring book of orange and red, when I put a nice warm batch of hot co-co on the stove, and were all of my family comes together every year. My favorite season is fall. My favorite hobby is hunting.
In the past few weeks, I have seen myself grow step by step to become a good writer. I have had to work on essays which took time and effort and a few corrections from my peers and my professor. I have become accustomed to new writing skills and techniques which I believe will be of great use in years to come. I intend to incorporate corrections provided in class and even in peer group discussions into my writing. I believe learning is a process which demands discipline and proper guidance.
I never knew how to get better at it. Through being in AP the past two years, I began my journey to learning how to write. Through the papers we did, I discovered how to organize literary and poetic writing. Before this year, I had no idea how to write poetry but by the end, I discovered I actually enjoyed it. It excited me to write about topics that I wanted to, especially in a way that was artistic.
Along with how they interpret an assignment and how they will tackle it. In the end going from grade school to college, writing there are many chances for students to improve and their creativity and their personal writing styles. As time has gone on we all have had to adopt our set of skills. In high school and college, we learned that writing an essay has become a fun and creative way to express ourselves and our feelings.
Jim was a happy child. He was 12 years old and had an amazing family. Everything in his life was perfect, that is, before the accident. It happened on his way back from a soccer game that his team barely won, he scored the winning goal in the last minute of the game. Jim knew he was special, special in a good way, special in a game-winning goal type of way.
Throughout the term there has been many writing assignments —big or small— that helped reflect my writing process or the process itself. In the beginning of the course I felt like I was an “ok” writer, but lacked some skills such as: organization, sentence variety, and vocabulary. Also, I did not like to write and had a feeling of dislike when forced to write. I felt like I improved on everything I wanted and was seen throughout the semester. I know how to organize my ideas, the worksheets given in class to work on sentence variety really helped, and vocabulary was built on some level.
Tired of eating rice, meat, and beans for lunch. Also, listening to the lunch lady exclaim “eat it all or else you will not grow”. Quite frankly, nine-year-old me decided that growth was not important if it meant not having to eat rice, meat, and beans every day. I remember asking my cousin, Ana, “How is the lunch over there?”. This was a vital detail that nine-year-old me had to know.
"Okay everyone I want you to see if you can find any animals to put on our new Animal Website" spoke Mrs. Fox. "What do we do when we find a animal? " I spoke with curiosity. "You tell me right away Maddie" Mrs. Fox spoke staring at me with cautiosness. She only did that because last time we tried to do this I was running around outside making weird noises that scared all the animals off, I was running around because I ate too much sweets.
Assignment VI I opened my backpack, and pulled out a moldy book. It was covered in a yellow slime, with black spots splattering its previously crisp pages. The corners were moist and some pages were unreadable. The worst part was, it wasn’t mine. I had gone to the library, a few days before, to borrow a book about programming.
“JOE!, it’s time for you to leave for school!” hollered Joe's Mom from the kitchen. Joe opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling of his bedroom. “Okay, okay, Mom I'll be down in a minute.”
Ever found a place so relaxing, so beautiful, and so inspiring that you never wanted to leave it? For the most of my life, I always dreamt of going to the beach because I never got a chance to go when I was younger. Even though I had never stepped one foot on a beach before, I still adored it so much. But for the first time in my life, I finally got the chance to experience how it feels to the beach, and it was everything I thought it would be like. The things that attracted me to the beach was the fact that it is so relaxing, the scenery is so beautiful, and it is a place to go and have fun.
The first day of middle school for me was both terrifying and exciting. I made a lot of new friends within the year. I remember the first day very well. I had woke up at 5;30 a.m. I was extremely tired.
It had been almost a full year of preparation. I had lessons every week, which started at thirty minutes, then forty-five minutes, and eventually became an hour. I remember coming back home with wrapped pinkies and sore wrists. As the time for the piano audition grew nearer, I realized the importance of this moment. At least, it was important for a 2nd grader.
