Transcripts When I first started high school, my grades were not that good. I struggled in most of my classes in 9th grade until I realized that I can do so much better. In 9th grade I wanted to play football but because of my grades I could not participate in it. Toward the end of 9th grade I got my grades together and since then I’ve gotten really good grades.
A time when I was faced with a significant challenge, but learned to overcome it was sophomore and junior year in history. History has always seem to be the class I tend to struggle in, no matter who I sit next to or how many notes I take. Sophomore as time when on to second semester I realized I wasn’t doing well; I was procrastinating with homework, not doing well on test, and stated to pay less attention in class. I got a D for the first semester and when I saw that on my report card I knew I had to change something. I realized history need to become a much higher priority.
All throughout high school I have obtained a GPA of 3.5 or above and have worked hard to earn that GPA as well. Earning a GPA of 3.5 or above may seem easy, but as
Since being enrolled in college I have been able to maintain a grade point average of a 3.4 or better for the two semesters that I have attended. Through the ups and downs that came with each semester, I have learned the value of putting in hard work and what it takes to achieve something one desires. Additionally, my academic performance has earned me spots in both the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Furthermore, this summer I was able to intern with a pipeline design company, EN Engineering.
The transition from middle school to high school is what shaped me the most and this adjustment has changed me in both good and bad ways. As a freshman, I enrolled in a private school, called Bridgemont High School. It was a very small school and did not have the same help as the public schools offered. I didn 't have an ELD class and classes providing extra help were limited. Eld means einglish language development, these classes are classes to help develop your english speaking skills even though i can speak english i had poor grammar.
Through my hard work and dedication, I was rewarded with many academic achievements. I was inducted into the National Beta Club and the National CTE Honors Society I also received an academic all-star award my junior year. I was able to have room in my schedule to dual enroll at Sampson Community College and take to college credit
In high school and college I am starting to realize that teachers don’t give specific rewards for getting good grades. But I have learned that we are paving the way for us to get a better future and that is the best award of them all. Being a student athlete I believe that I am receiving more than regular students because you learn so many life lessons in sports. I believe that the field trip that I went on is what made me start to apply myself better in school. I received the about $4,000 in academic scholarships for attending UW Parkside.
Not only did I complete the necessary requirements to graduate from PCC, but I did so with a 3.88 grade point average. At PCC, I also received an award for Outstanding Student Recognition in Science, made the President’s List for three consecutive semesters, and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Since, I returned back to school in 2014, I have dedicated myself to studying hard and giving every assignment 100 percent. I have received an “A” in every course and am proud of that accomplishment. I also feel satisfied with the work I have dedicated to my courses this semester at
Throughout my high school career have been, running track and field freshman through senior year finishing 1st in my 4X200m relay at the regional competition, earning awards, and JV / Varsity letters. During the track season I balanced practice for two hours or meets for 5 hours, along with a job and school. At each meet I participated in 4 events including the 100m dash, 200m dash, 4x100m relay, and the 4x200m relay. During my years of high school I have earned several On-time performance awards along with several attendance awards. At the end of my junior year I was awarded with most improved in my academics which is something I strived very hard for to earn.
I was impressed on the grades that i received on my first semester of junior year finishing off with a 3.89 GPA from that point on I knew that my hard work and effort was now being reflected on my grades as i moved on by the end of my second semester of my junior year i was really impressed in what I had done and i knew for a fact that what I had done was based on my effort and for that I am now a proud student at Tustin High School, But the steps I took to overcome this challenge were just thinking back and reflecting what I used to be in freshmen year to where I stand at now looking forward for an unforgettable senior year at tustin high
For a long while, during my time in middle school and the start of high school, the thought of doing really well in school never dawned on me. I’m the kind of person that always think about life in the near future, never extending far enough to think about what I really want to do and where I want to go. My grades had always been average, never dropping low enough to hurt my future but also never rising high enough to push me far, until I reached tenth grade. My laziness got to me and I just didn’t care anymore. My GPA dropped so low, seeing it can make anyone gasp.
I realize now that I cared more about my GPA and scores than actually learning. Being a member of the National Honor Society has reignited my passion for education. Surrounding myself with peers and advisors who are able to do well in school and also have a love for knowledge and learning has inspired me to revert to my elementary school self and begin to enjoy the privilege of learning in school and at
It showed because my GPA suffered, my class rank fell, and the two B's stuck out like sore thumbs on my transcript. I constantly push myself to do more and try to come out on top no matter what situation I endure. This has always been my mindset during high school, which has helped me along the way. This dedication comes from trying to make my mother proud and from the satisfaction of knowing I put my all into my work. As I grew up, I had seen my mother struggle.
My high school is highly competitive and I’m grateful that I was surrounded by such wonderful peers and teachers. Completing high school, I received 12th place out of almost 450 students, with a weighted GPA of 4.244. Despite my hard course load,
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
