The general argument that Nancy Kalish creates in her article, “The Early Bird Gets the Bad Grade” focuses on why students would benefit from a delayed start school. The article lists several ways different school districts have already taken advantage of late start. The author writes, “In 2002, high schools in Jessamine County in Kentucky pushed back the first bell to 8:40 am, from 7:30 am. Attendance immediately went up, as did scores on standardized tests, which have continued to rise each year”(5). The author uses this quote in order to provide examples of school systems who have already benefited off of delayed start times.
The Carolina Day Key Middle School went on an overnight in September 2015 at a place called Camp Timberlake for Boys. All of us got to know each other well. On our last day a few of our canoes flipped over while on the French Broad River. One of them was Lacy, Aubrey and Mr. Flamini’s canoe. Lacy and Aubrey’s canoe flipped over when Mr. Flamini tried to clamber in.

The balloons are out, the flowers are in bloom, I smell summer. I smell a summer like no other. Not because the groundhog came out early this year, or because I was one year older, but because I was a graduate, from Gilkey International middle school (finally). Sophie comes up to me yelling, super excited for the night ahead, graduation. As we rehearse our ceremony, in our high inched heels and dainty fake eyelashes Charlie runs up behind us screaming in our ear jumping us out of our own skin.
Today was the second day of the trial. A doctor testified that Peter had been sane during the school shooting, but the doctor never encountered Peter. In my point of view, people think they know the person that Peter is, by judging only from the day of the shooting. Another doctor that testified was, Dr. King Wah. This man had several interviews with Peter and concluded that Peter had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which happened because of others continually tormenting Peter.
February sixth was the day of my last middle school game. We were playing our rivals , Ledford middle school. The first time we played them we only lost by two points. The first five starters for Ledford and our first five including myself were all standing at half court for tip off. The ref. threw the ball up and Gillian tipped it back to me.
In 7th grade, I transferred from Bryan Middle school to Visitation Catholic School and there was not enough room in the accelerated math program, which ultimately set me behind. In high school, I found myself bored in math and knew I needed to challenge myself, so I ended up setting up a meeting with the math department head and we discussed my options. Sophomore year, I ended up taking two math classes, which was not easy; double the test, quizzes and lessons! However, by taking two math classes, I was able to get myself into a higher math class which ultimately was my goal, and achieving it was an amazing feeling.
When I started Unity High School I thought that it was going to be boring school because my first choice was Skyline but my mom made me come to this school so I had to obey what my mom wants because she takes care of me and helps me with whatever I need help with so going to the school that she wanted me to go to was the least I could have done. I thought that high school was going to be difficult because the work that my brother would bring home when he was in high school looked really hard and I did not understand most of the work he needed to complete. But I realized that I need to be taught the material before I go on and do the work
When it comes to sports my family has many ties to Middletown High School South. In the Going as far back as the 1980’s when my Dad attended the same high school. He was a standout wrestler for the team and was given multiple scholarships to wrestle in college. My family name is everywhere within the trophy rooms and walls of Middletown South. I am the youngest of three children with two older sisters coming through high school before me.

The Journal For Conquering Middle School The time had come for me to become a 6th grader. It would definitely be a difficult transition for me going to a brand new place with hulking monsters known to everyone as the eighth graders. Going to middle school would mean that I would have to meet new people from other elementary schools and that I could possibly lose my old friends. I really wanted to stay behind in elementary school where everything seemed so predictable and friendly.

The Hunger Games is one of the most popular modern adventure novels, with high-paced action packed plot and charismatic characters. The Hunger Games is a Trilogy, with three novels: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay released in 2008, 2009 and 2010 respectively. Popularity of the books led to creation of the full-scale movies. Each movie represented a part of the trilogy, aside from the Mockingjay, which was divided into two separate parts with the second one expected to be released in November of 2015.
I was in two elementary schools,the first was Panama Elementary school. I was their for k - 4th grade and then moved to Leo B Hart Elementary school. I was nervous when I was going to go to jr high. My biggest concern was me being short and not fitting in. Also I thought it was going to be extremely difficult like my teachers explained, but when I was finally done with seventh grade it was not as hard as i thought.
