Personal Narrative-Strong Work Ethic

A specific example of a time I used the skill strong work ethic was at the daycare where I currently work. My boss seemed to being having a bad day so I put it upon myself to volunteer to do all of the sweeping and mopping and do all of the end of the day diaper changes. She usually does most of these things herself, but I don’t mind having more work to do and I like helping out. A time when I used my ability to work in a team was in my rhetoric class. We had to create a speech together, which was terrifying at first. I offered to let everyone come to my dorm room so we could work on the speech. I think I did a great job listening to everyones ideas and sharing a few of my own. I got along with everyone well and there was no arguing between us about what we should do. I was a very good employee and always went above and beyond what I was asked to do. I got really good at folding t-shirt so that the graphics would line up perfectly. Because of this, my boss had me teach new and old employees my technique of folding. Also if a manager needed to leave the floor for a short period of time they would have me take their place in watching over the floor and make sure everything was running smoothly. This shows they trust me to be able to lead other employees while they were gone and teach other employees skills that I had. These are qualities of a leader in my opinion. A time when I showed organizational ability was in my current job when my boss wanted me to organize some closets around her house that were overflowing. Also in that job I set up her families appointments for everything, so I have to organize appointments so they fit in with the rest of the families plans. Also I am very organized in my everyday life with my plans and my work. I have an hour by hour organizer to plan out my
