What SMI Means to Me
Saint Mary’s Institute is more than just a school. Saint Mary’s is a school where we can share our Catholic beliefs, where all of the staff members are willing to help and are easy to talk to. The band, chorus, and drama club are great chances for students to try new things musically and theatrically. These musical opportunities have allowed me to expand my musical passion. I have met two of my best friends in band, their names are Jamie and P.J. Briele and recently I have gained one more. Her name is Eliza Andrews.
Here at SMI the students have various choices of sports such as soccer and basketball. Also during physical education we play a variety of games that uses every one 's physical ability and allows them to grow stronger and learn what parts of the body are used for what …show more content…

Some teachers are fueled by jokes and a weird sense of humor. My teacher Mrs. Teresco once demonstrated how gas particles work had an empty soda can sitting on boiling water for a while then she dropped it in ice water. Once it was over the can looked like it was completely crushed up even though the can was not touched by anyone. That was a cool day! Another teacher in the middle school is fueled on jokes and snide remarks. that teacher is Mr Jenson. Mr. Jenson always has a story to tell and he always makes his lessons interesting in many ways such as just speaking throughout the whole lesson while saying some pretty weird things during the lessons such as when we were talking about impeachment and what is considered a major crime and he would start accusing Andrew of random things. These types of teachers make all of my lessons my memorable and makes me excited for my next class. These are my favorite moments here at SMI and what makes this school special and when I graduate these will be the moments at the school that will always be closest to my
