"Where is Julie?" Kathy asks. I point to the empty ground to the right of me. "She was there a minute ago. Where could she be? Julie? Julie?" I call for her. I wait expecting her to come running, she usually does when I call out her name. I call out for her but get no reply. Everyone starts looking around the basement but she wasn't there. "Where could she be. Wait, what if she got out when someone opened the door?" I said out loud. Isiah and Alexandra run out the door and call out for Julie. Fifteen minutes later they come back without Julie. "We couldn't find her. There is no one outside we could ask if they've seen her." Isiah says. I start to panic I continue calling out "Julie? Julie? Where are you? Come here Julie." I get no reply I have been looking for her for what seemed like hours but was only thirty minutes. I start to think what if she did run out? I go upstairs to my apartment in tears. I wish it had never brought her down I should have left her in the apartment. I blame myself. I wish she was in the apartment this whole. I open the door and she comes out wagging her tail. My neighbor says "She was scratching the door so I let her in." I picked her up and hugged her. "I'm so glad you're here. Don't you ever scare me like that. I thought I lost you forever. You're my baby, you're all I ever wanted and I don't ever want to lose you. You're the best birthday present. I love you."
