1). In what areas are you involved in the life of your church and community? My parents became members at First Scots Presbyterian 23 years ago. First Scots is the only sanctuary I have ever known. My childhood consisted of hours spent at Kirk Club and Vacation Bible School. I have been a member of the First Scots Youth Group since the sixth grade. I enjoy attending my Youth Group on a weekly bases. I have been on their Youth Planning team almost every year where I helped to make decisions regarding the Youth Group’s agenda. My creative skills have been put to the test during the organization of First Scot’s yearly Youth Sunday service. Being involved in a total of seven Youth Sundays has been an excellent way to further improve my public speaking abilities. I have served communities both in the United States and internationally through the four mission trips I have participated via First Scot’s Youth. As of my own local community, I am a familiar face at the Dorchester Habitat For Humanity. My mother and I share a passion for the organization. A club in which you are required 25 hours of community service a semester. For the past year, I have been proficient at meeting this goal. I have worked for my school’s theater department in various sectors of production. These jobs include a Technician, Set Constructor, Business Manager, and Social Media Coordinator. I am currently employed at Kelly’s Dance Studio in Summerville. I am delighted to have the honor of instructing Developmental Movement and Pre-Ballet classes to children ages 2-5. Teaching the art of dance to young members of my community has been extremely rewarding. I formed special bonds with my students. I grew to know their favorite disney princesses, colors, meals, and animals. I serve as role model for my students; I take that responsibility
