Boys and Girls Clubs Greater of Milwaukee impacted my life as a person on what I bring to the community such as passion and motivation towards mentoring and coaching young scholars. My first impact in my life for the Clubs was when I started working as an intern Youth Worker at Engleburg Elementary School. Becoming a Youth Worker impacted my life by helping students with life skills, academics, and most importantly what it's like to be a teenager and how my impact can make a difference in the city I was born and raised in and how other scholars can achieve and accomplish their goals. The BMO Harris Scholarship program has assisted me with ways to pay for college and networking with different mentors to take advantage of different opportunities to assist me with my career choice. Charles Organ is my career director at the Boys & Girls Club. Charles Organ impacted my career by supporting me with my career goals through high school on what pathway I wanted to pursue in and offering helpful resources such as professional development workshops to advance my skills on preparing for college. Another impact that the Boys and Girls Club assisted with my career goal was taking advantage of debt free tuition such as attending Milwaukee Area Technical College to receive my first Associate Degree in Business and Management. Boys and Girls Club Greater of Milwaukee impacted my life by advancing my skills and talent to make a commitment to serve youth outside of the Boys and Girls Clubs such as joining organizations such Independence First, Makala Cares and City Year of Milwaukee. My commitments to joining these organizations build my confidence and motivation to coach and inspire others in the community to make an impact on students.
