When I was a little girl, I used to dress up in my old Halloween costumes and put on performances for my family. I loved how it would make my parents’ days brighter. Ever since then, I have wanted to pursue a career in theatre. When I finally decided to major in acting, I began focusing on improving my skills as an actress, and fell in love with the learning I was doing. In college, I want to keep my passion for learning different techniques and skills, while developing myself as a performer and an individual.
After I graduate, I would like to start working as an actress as soon as I possibly can. I will move to a place where I will have a lot of theatre opportunities, and will actively audition and look for work. I will pursue as many different options as I can. I am passionate about all aspects of theatre—directing, performing, and writing. It is a difficult industry to work in, but I am willing to put in the work necessary to do so.

When I was in eighth grade, I helped organize, produce and direct a production of The Wizard of Oz at my school. I designed all the costumes, taught the music, organized all the production aspects, and performed in the show. While in high school, I did many service projects. I helped direct two more productions at my grade school, Peter Pan and Noah’s Ark. For these shows, I assisted the director in blocking scenes and working one-on-one with the students on developing acting skills. In addition, I volunteered at another school tutoring kids who struggled with basic math skills. My senior year, I completed a Capstone service project, where I organized an event to raise supplies, money, and awareness for a local animal shelter.
