The implications I hold in high regard involve wages and benefits, growth potential, work hours, location/travel, job satisfaction, job security, recognition, and a higher sense of purpose. Based on my self-assessment themes, I wanted to expand upon the types of characteristics I desire when working for a company; these are the specific traits I look for when seeking out employment from potential employers. I plan on applying to several different firms, both for-profit and nonprofit. In the coming years of my working life, I want to gain as much experience in the organizational field as possible, so I can understand all aspects of it. I eventually want to gain enough experience to evolve into a protean career, but I’m sure that will come with time. Some of the interim steps to achieve these aspirations consist of expanding my network, skills, and knowledge base of the business world within the next 3-5 years. To develop my network of contacts, I plan to ensure an establishment of good working relationships with my subordinates, collogues, and superiors throughout my time at work and in school. This can help to advance my skills and knowledge when having to deal with difficult individuals and situations.
